About the Client

Our client, a global leader in AI robotics and navigation technology across various industries, is seeking a Business Development Executive - Defence for the EMEA region. As a key player in the autonomy revolution, our client's innovative solutions can be found in applications ranging from underwater robotics to autonomous vehicles.
  
About the Role
  • Drive business development efforts to identify Defence opportunities in the territory
  • Research and identify large-scale defence programs suitable for our client's products and solutions
  • Establish strategic partnerships to enhance the company's position and increase chances of winning defence programs
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders in the defence industry, including influencers and decision-makers
  • Define program deliverables, features, and certifications required for success in the EMEA defence market
  • Generate revenue by expanding growth with existing customers, acquiring new customers, and driving product adoption
  • Own the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to closing deals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute the company's Go-To-Market strategies
  • Articulate the value proposition of our client's solutions to prospects
  • Understand customer technical requirements and provide guidance to the product team
  • Work closely with internal teams to improve go-to-market plans and accelerate growth
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and maintain up-to-date CRM records (Salesforce)  
About the Candidate
  • Tertiary qualification in a related technical field
  • 5-10 years of experience in the EMEA Defence industry
  • Proven track record in business development, sales, and account management
  • Experience with high-tech solutions in defence verticals such as aerospace, land systems, autonomous vehicles/robotics, and maritime/subsea
  • Executive presence and strong presentation skills
  • Team player mindset with a passion for working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment
  • Flexibility to work across time zones and collaborate with the Global Head Office in Australia
  • Technical knowledge of navigation products/solutions, such as inertial sensors, acoustics, GNSS, and optical sensors
  • Proficiency in CRM solutions, preferably Salesforce
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Adaptability to changing environments and international cultures
  • Fluency in English, knowledge of other languages is advantageous
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time
  • Ability to achieve and maintain UK Security Clearance is a must.
