About the Job

Our client in the events, arts, exhibitions, and conference sector, is searching for an Event Project Director. This is a dynamic role responsible for leading the ideation, conceptualization, design, and programming of a diverse range of experiential projects. These projects encompass industry conferences, lifestyle festivals, music and artistic experiences, awards ceremonies, and multi-layered events. The role requires a deep connection to culture, technology, brand, and design, and involves pushing creative boundaries to create memorable experiences that drive media impact and word of mouth.
About the Role
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director to develop unique and impactful experience concepts that align with brand objectives and engage target audiences
  • Foster a culture of creativity, consistently exploring novel ideas and approaches to enhance project outcomes
  • Develop new intellectual property (IP) concepts and experiential projects that effectively meet both audience and business goals
  • Collaborate with project leads during the ideation process to uncover valuable insights, ideas, and opportunities
  • Conduct comprehensive audience mapping exercises and research to gain profound insights into target demographics, preferences, behaviors, and expectations
  • Lead end-to-end design of experience concepts, ensuring seamless integration of creative elements, technical components, production logistics, and budget considerations, in collaboration with project leads and internal teams
  • Maintain a collaborative culture across cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors to effectively bring experiential projects to life
  • Cultivate strong relationships with team members and effectively manage their involvement in projects to ensure alignment with project goals
About the Candidate
  • A minimum of 9+ years of experience in designing experiential campaigns and creating new IP concepts in the MENA region
  • Proven experience in consumer events, live experiences, and experiential brand activation across a variety of industries in MENA, including KSA preferably
  • Demonstrated ability to generate innovative and immersive experience ideas aligned with brand objectives and audience engagement
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in audio/visual technologies, virtual reality/augmented reality, mapping/3D software, visualization tools, and programming design to create interactive and captivating experiences
  • Proficient in storytelling techniques, narrative development, content curation, and editorial skills to create cohesive and compelling experiences that effectively convey brand messages
  • Skilled in providing direction during experience execution, overseeing technical setups, coordinating production, and ensuring successful design implementation
  • Fluent communication skills in both English and Arabic
