About the Job

We are searching for a Communications Advisor to develop and execute strategic communication plans that support our business goals and objectives for a client, a government advisory firm in Dubai.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating compelling content, managing media relations, and developing communications strategies that effectively communicate the company's mission, vision, and values. The Communications Advisor will work closely with senior leadership, as well as external stakeholders, to promote the company's brand, reputation, and thought leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive communications and public relations plans that align with the company's business objectives
  • Create high-quality content for various channels, including press releases, articles, whitepapers, and social media posts
  • Manage media relations, including building and maintaining relationships with journalists and media outlets, pitching stories, and responding to media inquiries
  • Develop and maintain key messaging for the company and ensure consistency across all communications channels
  • Advise senior leadership on media and communication strategies and opportunities
  • Monitor media coverage and prepare media reports to track trends and measure impact
  • Develop and manage internal communications, including newsletters, emails, and other communication channels to keep employees informed and engaged
  • Develop and execute crisis communication plans in collaboration with senior leadership
  • Manage external vendors and agencies, including PR and creative agencies, to deliver high-quality communication materials
About the Candidate
  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, marketing, politics or a related field. Master's degree preferred
  • Experience in the government or public sector is preferred
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in public relations, communications, or related field, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful communication plans
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to create compelling content for different audiences and channels
  • Strong media relations skills, with a track record of building relationships with journalists and securing media coverage
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in crisis communications and issues management
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
